About Me
My name is Theo Theophanous and I am an artist and educator. I have been teaching art theory and practice for over 15 years. As an international teacher, I am able to use a variety of stimuli from the cultural experiences I encounter and this often influences the work I make.

I was born in the UK, but I am of Greek Cypriot origin. The notion of dual identity is something which is often present in my work, especially in regards to ideas about home. My father is a refugee of Cyprus and like many Greek and Turkish Cypriots, he lost his home during the 1974 Cyprus invasion. His history has provoked many discussions about the idea of where home actually is.
